Review

I have previously owned quite a few android tablets and phones all with slow processors and resistive screens.

I can honestly say this AWESOME Teclast tablet sits in a different league altogether - it has a blisteringly fast processor a separate graphics processor and an amazingly responsive capacitive screen like an Ipad. I quickly got used to using my whole finger to touch buttons etc. and not the more imprecise fingernail touch previously learned for resistive screens

it’s finished in a very cool white casing and even comes with a screen protector.

It also uses a micro usb for charging and data transfer and I found my Huawei phone charger (same as a Blackberry connector) works perfectly, avoiding having to use the supplied 2 pin charger and adapter

The HD mode is gorgeous (you will need a micro HD lead as its not supplied) Luckily I had one knocking around from a previous tablet

Angry birds work superbly with much more control than I have experienced on my other tablets
Other apps I have installed include Moon Reader for my collection of eBooks, Google Maps, Google Street view, Kindle, Opera Mini, and Start-up Manager (you can kill unnecessary apps that load in the background with this
I also downloaded the BBC i-Player app and have just watched Eastenders perfectly. On demand TV can also be accessed through Opera Mini web browser

All in all an awesome tablet from a brilliant seller - I ordered yesterday lunchtime and it was delivered next day (Saturday) before 9am - and all at the standard postage rate

This is a very realistic and useable android alternative to an Ipad for a quarter of the price.

Review

Well what you can expect from a tablet a quarter of the price of an Ipad. I ordered this because i wanted more real estate screen size rather than the 7 inch NATP that has been getting rave reviews so i took a gamble on this. The screen is a better resolution, the scrolling is smooth, full UK android market readily available and web browsing is excellent on a tablet this size.
I did get the keyboard randomizing letters and deleting when the charger was plugged in but not on usb charging but I’m sure a software update in the near future will fix that so not worried as yet.

Installed GO launcher and Dolphin browser for web browsing. Both a lot better than the standard installed apps.
Tried quite a few games to test it out but beware if you like racing games. The accelerometer doesn’t work in all games. Most do but remember this is still a beta build of Ice Cream Sandwich so a likely update will be needed. This only affects a few games like My paper plane, Temple run and a couple of others but for the big majority you won`t even notice it. Works fine on Tiki Kart and Speed forge and most others.

Adobe reader renders well for PDF`s and Amazon Kindle works fine as well.
Cut the Rope, Angry birds, Tower Raiders 2, Google earth, Gmail, Google Play all run great.

All in all for the price it’s a good bit of kit. The only drawback is the shortened battery life which you are going to get on all cheaper tablets because the batteries are smaller. If you can live with charging after using it for 2-3 hours it’s a bargain at the price. Technology moves so fast these days i don`t want to spend 400 quid on something that`s outdated in a year and if you are reading this review I’m suspecting you don`t either!!Something like this you can pass to your kids next year and buy a new one when better tech is out next year.

Review

As I already have 2 laptops I bought this tablet to take on holiday. It takes up much less room in hand luggage; in fact it fits in the side pocket of my handbag. I wanted it to check emails and perhaps do a little surfing online. As most hotels now have free Wi-Fi it functioned perfectly. An added bonus was the Kindle application already installed, although it was not possible to use this in bright sunlight. As a more mature person and a bit of a technophobe when it comes to all new mobile gadgets, I was not prepared to spend the money on an Ipad, and at about a fifth of the price the Tabtech suits all my needs. I am still trying to find out what many of the other applications do, but I did pass an hour during a tiresome flight playing at Angry Birds!!

I also bought a reduced price VanGoody case for the tablet and it is an excellent fit, providing protection, a storage loop for the stylus and also for micro SD cards.

It was delivered within two days and as I have had no problems with it I have had no need to contact the seller.

All in all a great little gadget!
